Once issued with a Portuguese Golden Visa, you will have the legal right to work. It is worth noting, however, that your right to work will be restricted to Portugal and not the rest of Europe. 

You will only be allowed to work across the EU once you obtain Portuguese citizenship. You will be eligible for Portuguese citizenship after residing in the country for 5 or more years.

If you’re granted NHR status you could be eligible for significant tax benefits, depending on your job type and personal circumstances.
